Supporting our charitable partners has always been a priority for us at the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (BCCTaipei) and the funds raised at our annual Christmas Charity Auction is a clear representation of the incredible generosity that exists within our membership. This year, we raised over NTD 1,000,000 on the day from our live auction, silent auction and raffle tickets. I'd like to sincerely thank our sponsors, prize donors and everyone who made a donation, big or small, at the event. A special thanks as well to the BCCT team and my co-auctioneer, Steven Parker, for making the day such a success!

The British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (BCCTaipei) puts on an incredible calendar of events each year with none more anticipated than the St. Andrew's Ball. For me, this event always marks the start of the festive season with a night of good food, great friends and some very subpar dance moves (speaking about myself here!) Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel, true to our company's Scottish roots, was very happy to once again sponsor the event. We work closely with the BCCT throughout the year and the fact that such a small team is able to put on such brilliant events never ceases to amaze. I'd like to express my appreciation to Kristina, Jenny, Sophia and Colin for all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making a night like this a reality. It really was a fantastic evening!

The seventh installment of the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (BCCTaipei)'s Better Business Awards was a tremendous success, crowning winners across seven categories. The level of competition was high this year and congratulations go to Deutsche Windtechnik for taking home the honor! Time goes by incredibly quickly when you're growing and it's important to take a pause and appreciate milestones along the way. Last week, I had the opportunity to join our team in Seoul to do just that as we held a renewables networking evening to celebrate our one-year anniversary in this rapidly growing market. I couldn't be more proud of what Joshua, Dawon(sera), Kyung Hoon (Kay) and Jiwoo have achieved in such a short period of time. Throughout the evening, I had a number of clients and candidates comment on the professionalism and integrity they have seen in our team and this was by far the standout highlight for me. Thank you to all our clients and candidates who joined us on the evening and to our team for putting on such an enjoyable event. Building a sustainable pipeline of talent is critical to the long term success of offshore wind in all markets and this is especially true in Taiwan. We believe you can never start too early and Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is partnering with British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei (BCCTaipei) to bring OffshoreWind4Kids to Taiwan. This interactive workshop is designed to introduce primary aged kids to offshore wind. We will also be having sessions in Seoul and Tokyo for our friends in those cities.

Absolutely love seeing new markets harnessing potential in offshore wind and Australia is a fantastic example with investment and momentum drawing interest from around the globe. The BCCT has enjoyed impressive growth over recent years and we are currently looking for a new CEO to lead the organization to new heights in the years to come. The integration of Brunel and Taylor Hopkinson has accellerated our expansion in the APAC region where we now have 4 Taylor Hopkinson offices with a 5th on the cards later in 2023. Nazuna Hayashi has been delivering great work for our clients in the Japan market and currently has a number of senior roles, including multiple EPCI Director positions, in country.
